Have you ever wondered what a Roman house or Mayan Temple looked like? This week the students in Upper Elementary displayed their projects on Ancient Civilizations that answered these and many more questions. The Upper Elementary made projects on seven different civilizations: Maya, Egypt, Greece, China, Rome, Phonecia, and Sumeria. They had two months to learn about their civilization, pick a project, and complete it.
After completing their projects, they presented them to each other over the course of two days. Most groups had 3-5 projects that were very different from one another. Some examples: models, plays, maps and dioramas. Each project was full of tons of facts about that civilization.
Everyone had a great time participating in this research and are eager to know when they can start another one!
