Dear Tobin Families,

We have had a productive and peaceful first week back at school. The children are settling back into the school routine, and I have seen many happy, but tired, faces at dismissal. This transition back to school is exciting but also an adjustment for both staff and families. Easing back into an early bedtime is important and will help us all be ready for our 7:55AM start time.

This year we have many new staff members joining us. Some are part time, some are full time, and some are extended-term substitutes. I will be introducing the new staff at our Back to School Night next week on Thursday, September 17th. Your children may have already been talking about their new teachers.

This year Tobin welcomes:

  • Yuliya Goncharov - K/JK Art Teacher
  • Debbie Sullivan - Grade 3/4 Music Teacher
  • Heather Kolbe - Literacy Coach
  • Christina Kirkwood - Grade 4/5 Special Educator
  • Beth Benedikt- ESL Teacher
  • Casey Wilder - Children’s House Paraprofessional
  • Dana Ellcock - Lower Elementary Paraprofessional
  • Jannie Tamaoki - Upper Elementary Paraprofessional
  • Katlyn Kline - Lower Elementary Extended Term Substitute
  • Brittany Patten - Upper Elementary Extended Term Substitute
  • Stephanie Gambino-Carter - Building Substitute
  • Denise Cuascut - Cub’s Corner Teacher

On Monday, we also welcome our new three-year-old students! We anticipate some tears, so if you see a Children’s House parent upset about leaving their child in the classroom, please assure them that drop off does get easier!

I hope you have a restful weekend.

Sincerely,

Jaime Frost
