Spotlight on Fay Chaisson

FayWe hear that you grew up in this neighborhood. What school did you go to and and do you think that the neighborhood has changed much? Do you still live here?
Yes, I grew up right in the Huron Avenue neighborhood. I attended St. Peter Elementary School and St. Peter High School on Concord Avenue. The neighborhood is very different now from when I grew up here. In the past, many of the homes were passed down from generation to generation. Today we have families new to Cambridge and even Massachusetts. I now live in Waltham, and I love it. It's very diverse, just like Cambridge, and it's close to everything.

What roads led you to the Tobin Montessori School?
My friend Mary Frawley asked me if I would be interested in being a lunch aide while my children were in school. The rest is history. Here I am 28 years later still at the Tobin!

When school is closed because of a snow storm, what do you like to do?
I LOVE A SNOW DAY! I love to catch up on my favorite TV shows or even watch a movie or two!

Where do you like to vacation? Cape or up north?
My family loves to vacation in New Hampshire in the Lake Winnipesaukee area.

Favorite sports team?
N.E. Patriots, then the Red Sox, and then Boston Bruins ( in that order)

Coffee or tea?
I've never drank coffee in my life. I've always been a tea drinker. My new found love is Starbuck's unsweetened iced green tea.
