Here's the amazing Miss Jaime!
Where did you grow up and what brought you to Tobin?
I grew up in Watertown Massachusetts, not too far from Tobin! I started my teaching career in Cambridge as a substitute. In fact, my first job was at Tobin School, well before it was a Montessori School. After spending some time living in New Jersey (my husband’s home state), I returned to Massachusetts and came right back to work at Tobin, just as the Montessori program began.
Favorite time of year and why?
Well…I am torn. I love the Fall because it is my “Happy New Year” as a Principal, but I also enjoy the summer time because I get to spend lots of quality time with my family. My husband’s name is Bryan and we have two boys---Alex who is 8 years old and Tyler who is 5 years old.
Favorite teacher you had in school and why?
My favorite teacher was my fourth grade teacher, Ms. Reusser. She was my favorite teacher because the class felt like a family and she took us outside to read aloud to us every afternoon. I still remember listening to
James and the Giant Peach sitting under a tree on the front lawn of my elementary school. She inspired me to be a teacher!
Skiing in Aspen or sunning in the tropics?
In between hockey games this season, my husband and I are going to finally take our boys skiing! So, right now I would have to say Skiing in Aspen.
Favorite movie?
This depends on what mood I am in, but I think I am always up for a classic 80’s movie---
The Goonies is coming to my mind right now!
Dark of milk chocolate?
Any type of chocolate works for me!
