Young students were introduced to the Book Fair as a “traveling book store” and got a chance to make their wishlist. Hopefully everyone was able to get at least one book that they wanted. Thanks goes out to Friends of Tobin for helping to make that happen.
HUGE thanks goes out to all my parent volunteer helpers:
Alexander and Brandy Danner, Carrie Voiland, John Little, Gail Mccullagh, Erik Thoresen, Erin Linthicum, and Isabel Esquitin. We could not do this without all the time you put in to make this such an enjoyable event for all the students.
And of course, thank you to all the parents, grandparents and other family members who bought books for their children and for the classrooms. Almost all the Teacher Wishlist bags were empty by Friday.
Which brings us to the numbers:
- –We sold almost $9,000 in books.
- –We made a profit of $1,500.
- –We bought $1,800 worth of books for the library for $1,000.
- –Leaving us with $500 to spend on books at the end of the year after district purchasing is finished.
