CitySprouts and our garden coordinator Ms. Budd hosted cider pressing at Tobin. All students learned how to observe and compare, wash, cut, grind, and press apples to make delicious cider. Ms. Budd said, "The process is very hands-on for the students and helps them to understand the process of how raw fruits are used in making juice." Room 283 students enjoyed working and tasting apple cider!
Room 284 took a trip to the fire station this week. All the children had a chance to sit in the fire truck and slide down the pole. The best part of the trip was when Miss Kathleen got to put the firefighter's gear on.
Students from room 208 were seen outside the school making sure the new trees that were planted in the Spring were cleaned up and watered. Thank you Miss Beth and her students for helping to keep Tobin looking its best!
