Room 284 has been working on the Engineering Design Process this week. Here the students are in the "creating stage" of the process.

Have you ever raced to 100? Mathematicians in Room 283 enjoyed racing to 100 and using Montessori golden beads such as ten bars and unit beads. Students practiced counting, trading place values, and placing materials in the correct columns of place value categories.

In the top photos, Room 283 Kindergarteners Bernadette and Josiah are focusing on a question, How many more do you need to trade 10 unit beads for a ten bead bar? In the bottom photo, Naqeeb Uddin, a remote Kindergartener in Room 283, worked creatively on his poster of 100 days of school. There are exactly one hundred sparkling stickers on his poster!
