JK & K students listened to the story, "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. They then created their own dot-inspired painting. Some were more process than product but all enjoyed painting.

Students in the Children's House program learn about the community helpers at Tobin and the school neighborhood community. Every classroom interviewed a school worker in order to understand this person's role and responsibilities. Room 283 students interviewed Ms. Sarah Rosenberg, Instructional Technology Specialist. Ms. Sarah explained that she helps students and teachers to master various technological tools, that the best way to get good at her job is to practice, and that her favorite part of the job is seeing students learn technology. Room 283 students and teachers would like to thank Ms. Sarah for joining our classroom and answering all the challenging questions!

Room 284 students are studying engineering and building structures. This week they created their own bridges and tested them out to see if they were strong enough to support weight. Soliana started off looking at sample bridge structures. Nahome tested his bridge and it was strong enough to hold up a roll of tape. Alara's bridge.
