On December 7th 2021, all of UE went on their first field trip in two years: The Museum of Science. There was an arctic exhibit where some of the walls felt like real ice. There was also a really cool ice simulator everyone got to go on it in all of Ms. Stacey’s class. There was also a lightning show that was really loud and bright. One of the machines in the lightning show could change the pitch of the sound of the electricity so they made a song with the electricity! There was also this animal show about a 70-year-old turtle and how you can protect turtles around Massachusetts. We also learned how some turtles hibernate underwater during cold weather but they don’t have gills so they need to breathe once in a while. However that is not the case, wait for it...some turtles can breathe through their butts. We all had lunch in a big cafeteria. It is safe to say we kicked off the end of 2021 with an amazing field trip.
